The Get Comfortable initiative is a cross-sector consortium designed to channel the generosity of many toward consensus community priorities. In 2021, early literacy was deemed the impact area of greatest importance, and the multi-year metric of success was set to substantially increase the percentage of CCSD 3rd Graders reading on grade level. Join us Wednesday, September 9 @ 6:00 for the annual community presentation. In attendance will be representatives from the entire consortium: the business community, local leaders, CCSD senior leadership, the Athens Area Community Foundation, literacy mentors, and many others. Featured speakers will be Dr. Jennifer Scott (CCSD's Superintendent) and Dr. Grace Bagwell-Adams (the principal investigator).
