Event Description:
Led by Chef Peter Cady this hands-on class is the perfect opportunity to hone your knife techniques and learn fundamental cuts, as well as how to use a honing stone. Under Peter Cady's expert guidance, you'll learn everything from basic mincing and dicing to more advanced techniques like julienning and brunoising. You'll also discover the different types of knives and their uses, as well as how to properly hone and care for your own knives. Don't forget to bring your own knives from home and your honing stone, if you want to practice with them - this is the perfect opportunity to learn how to get the most out of your favorite kitchen tool. Or feel free to demo some of our store knives instead.  Also, bring take out containers for all the veggies you'll be chopping. You can take them home for freezing, composting, or making a comforting veg stir fry or soup.
