Join the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and Elbert County Chamber of Commerce, for a Regional Industry Roundtable focused on workforce development, regional collaboration, and the future of industry growth across Northeast Georgia.
Hosted at Athens Technical College, this collaborative event will bring together business and industry leaders from across the region for meaningful conversations surrounding workforce challenges, recruitment and retention strategies, training opportunities, and practical solutions for long-term business success.
The program will begin with a special presentation from Elbert Memorial Hospital and Pathwise CPA Group. Attendees will hear from Tyler Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Elbert Memorial Hospital, along with David M. Miller, CPA, IAR, and Stephan Morgan, CPA, of Pathwise CPA Group. Together, they will highlight the Georgia HEART Hospital Program and discuss how charitable contributions through the HEART Fund not only provide valuable state tax credits for participating businesses, but also directly support investments in rural healthcare facilities, technology, and patient services. Their brief presentation will demonstrate how strong partnerships between the business and healthcare communities contribute to workforce development by ensuring employers and their employees have access to quality healthcare close to home, an increasingly important factor in attracting and retaining talent throughout Northeast Georgia.
Following the opening presentation, we are honored to welcome Commissioner Greg Dozier of the Technical College System of Georgia as our featured speaker. As the primary presenter for the program, Commissioner Dozier will provide valuable insight into current workforce trends, statewide workforce development initiatives, employer engagement strategies, and opportunities available to help businesses strengthen and grow their workforce pipelines.
This event is designed to encourage candid discussion and regional collaboration while highlighting the importance of partnerships between employers, educational institutions, workforce organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders. As Northeast Georgia continues to experience significant growth and opportunity, this conversation aims to ensure that growth strengthens the industries, workforce, and communities that make our region thrive.
