Event Description:
Please join the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate the ribbon cutting for The Firefly Farmstop. The Firefly Farmstop is a new brick and mortar grocery selling only Georgia (Athens if possible!) grown and produced items. Located directly adjacent to the Firefly Trail in Winterville, this new shop will also provide a community gathering spot. In keeping with the non-profit mission of the Marigold Collective, they are intentional about supporting farms and producers in the community in an effort to address root cause issues within the current food system. Revenue from this store not only supports local growers and businesses but also funds education and distribution programs, taking steps toward equal food access for all.
