ATHENS, Ga. – Get ready to sip safely, because your favorite wine event, Athens Wine Weekend, is returning to The Classic Center May 21 – May 23, 2021, with the wellbeing of our guests as a top priority. Tickets are on sale now and, may we add, make the perfect Mother’s Day present!

Athens Wine Weekend benefits The Classic Center Cultural Foundation, which helps provide performing, visual, and culinary arts scholarships for high school and college students while also supporting performing and visual arts programs in the community. In addition, The Cultural Foundation works to support local workforce development initiatives.

Friday evening’s Amuse-Bouche will kick off Athens Wine Weekend. Guests will enjoy bite-sized appetizers from local favorites including Butcher & Vine, George's Lowcountry Table, International Grill and Bar, Levy, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and South Kitchen + Bar with wine perfectly paired by Shawn Butcher from Eagle Rock Distributing Company.

Sip and sample wines from around the world at Saturday’s Grand Tasting, presented by Akins Ford of Winder. Join us at 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. to enjoy this wide array of wines. Interested in more than just the tasting? Dive into one of the many seminars such as "It’s All Greek to Me," presented by celebrity chef Georgios Kastanias, or "Chardonnay All Day" to learn from the best local wine educators.

Top off the evening with a highlight of Athens Wine Weekend, Gourmet Dinner presented by RW Allen. This exquisite six-course French meal is expertly prepared by The Classic Center's Executive Chef with Levy, while the wines of the courses are hand-selected by Frank Sinkwich, President of Northeast Sales Distributing. From start to finish this event is guaranteed to deliver a culinary experience like no other.
End the weekend on a high note with Sparkling Wine Brunch and enjoy specialty mimosas with delicious food. Grab your significant other or a few girlfriends and close out the weekend in style. Sparkling Wine Brunch also makes the perfect gift for a mom who loves an excuse for a mimosa on a Sunday morning.

Tickets to this event range from $15 for seminars to $487.50 for the entire weekend for two people, including hotel accommodations. With all-inclusive package options and single event tickets, you can craft your perfectly unique weekend experience.

Masks will be required when not eating or drinking, social distancing will be encouraged, and capacity caps will keep each event within a safe limit. Guests must be 21+ years of age to attend.
