Thursday, June 16, 2022 – Athens, GA: Mary Jo Johnson and Robin Lacrimosa, both Life Care Coordinators at Kimbrough Law, were awarded Certificates in Elder Care Coordination in May after completing a program offered by the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association in collaboration with the Stockton Center on Successful Aging at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. The Certificate in Elder Care Coordination is a 15-week post-baccalaureate professional education program that teaches best practices from the fields of gerontology, social work, geriatric care management, and elder law. The program enhances the ability of Life Care Coordinators to help clients and families respond with confidence to the legal, financial, and personal challenges caused by older adults’ aging, chronic illness, and disability. “We are excited to bring this advanced level of elder care expertise to the community,” said Hailey Brock, Kimbrough Law’s managing partner. “The Certificate in Elder Care Coordination enhances the ability of our care coordinators to enhance quality of life for older adults and family caregivers during the long-term care journey.” Ms. Johnson and Ms. Lacrimosa both have more than three decades of experience in the geriatrics field.
