On Tuesday, June 16, Tom Zaiser, CEO of Fibervisions and Donnie Whitsett, General Manager, presented a check for $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Athens. “We take seriously our role as a corporate citizen.”, noted Zaiser.   “We are so appreciative of the work that the Boys and Girls Club does to teach, nurture and lead our children in this ever changing world.”

Receiving the check were Mike Hackett, President and CPO of Boys and Girls Club of Athens, and Derrick Floyd, Director of Operations.   When asked of the expected use of those funds, Hackett responded, “The valued investment helps pay for staff, quite honestly.  As a result of the pandemic, staffing requirements are much greater.   Serving young people is our mission but it requires a high ratio of staff to children.  This check opens up more possibilities.”
