ATHENS, Ga. –Travel back in time to 1964 with Leslie Goddard, actor and historical educator, as she generates a live historical portrayal of former first lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy on Thursday, April 21, 2022, 6:45 p.m., at the 440 Foundry Pavilion at The Classic Center. Catch a glimpse of Jacqueline Kennedy’s life as she attempts to determine her next steps during her struggles to cope from being surrounded by tourists and paparazzi.

The Athens Chautauqua Society presents Jacqueline Kennedy: First Lady of Grace and Style. During this performance, get to know stories about Jacqueline Kennedy’s marriage, her fight for privacy amidst intense media scrutiny, her work to restore the White House, and her attempts to showcase the arts.

This event is FREE to the public on Thursday, April 21, 2022, 6:45 p.m. The event will be held at the 440 Foundry Pavilion at The Classic Center. The Athens Chautauqua Society is 501c3 nonprofit, established in 2019, with the goal of bringing the education and entertainment of historical storytelling to Athens. The Athens Chautauqua Society has a storied Athens history— the original Athens Chautauqua Society was founded in 1914 and lasted until 1919 when WWI and the Spanish flu pandemic swept the country.
