Join the Historic Athens Welcome Center for the opening of a new Women's History Month exhibit, "The Women Who Changed Athens," curated by Historic Athens fellow Anna Scott. Celebrate eight women who made history in the fields of medicine, education, journalism, and the arts: Judia Jackson Harris, Mary Jackson McCrorey, Mildred Seydell, Lucy Stanton, Minnie Davis, Mary Lyndon, Dr. Ida Mae Hiram, and Dr. Leila Denmark. Opening Reception Drop by the Historic Athens Welcome Center on Wednesday, March 4, from 4:00-6:00 PM to meet exhibit curator, Anna Scott, learn about these remarkable women, and enjoy some light refreshments. On view throughout March.
