What COVID-19 Means for Children

Tuesday, June 16 at 3:00 p.m. EST

This Tuesday, we will host a special Path Forward program with some of the country’s top experts to answer your most pressing questions about the state of the pandemic and what schools and others are doing to protect young people from infection.

Dr. Margaret Hamburg, an internationally recognized leader in public health, will provide an update on the fight against COVID-19. As a former FDA commissioner and NYC health commissioner, Dr. Hamburg brings a critical perspective on everything from the global race to develop a vaccine to the steps local leaders are taking to prevent community spread of the coronavirus.

Kevin Washington, president and CEO of the YMCA of the USA, will explain how his organization has been filling the gap during school closures and what they're doing over the summer.

Susana Cordova, superintendent of Denver Public Schools, will discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on schools and what educators are doing to keep students safe now and in the fall.
