Event Description:

Join us for a discussion on financial literacy with a panel of women in the industry. We'll discuss planning for the future while living in the present, focusing on how women can navigate this difficult economy while setting themselves up for success.


Our panel will be moderated by Eron Bird, who served as the Vice President of Finance and Logistics for Terrapin Beer Co before transitioning to the role of Controller for Blue Run Spirits.

Panelists include:

Latoria Robbins, Relationship Banker, Synovus
Latoria has been with Synovus for 7 1/2 years. She is currently a Relationship Banker at the Beechwood Branch on Alps Rd. She began in September 2016 as a part-time Backup Teller. Since beginning her career with Synovus, she has been a Travel Teller, Universal Banker, and Branch Service Supervisor.


Alana Cochran, Estate Planning Attorney, Blasingame, Burch, Garrard, and Ashely, P.C.
Alana is a business and estate planning attorney with Blasingame, Burch, Garrard, and Ashley, P.C. here in Athens. Alana is a native of Oconee County and is enjoying working in the community she grew up in after years of being away. She is a wife and mom of two toddlers and loves working alongside other amazing women in the Athens and Oconee areas. 


Ida Barrett, Financial Planner, Northwestern Mutual

As a financial planner, Ida's goal is to meet her clients where they are at when it comes to their financial journey. She caters her planning practice to women entrepreneurs, the LGBTQ+ community, small business owners, and young families. 


Keisha V. Ryals, Owner, Crowning Tier Group
Keisha V. Ryals is the owner of Crowning Tier Group, an accounting firm specializing in Small Business and Nonprofit Accounting and Business Strategies. She holds a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida, a master's degree in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and is currently pursuing her second master's of accounting from Nova Southeastern, with the plan of sitting for her CPA licensure exam. She serves as treasurer of The College Factory board and Vice Chair of the Minority Business and Nonprofit Association board. 
 


Brittany Culver, Mortgage Loan Originator, Robins Financial Credit Union 

Brittany has worked for Robins Financial Credit Union for six years, starting as a teller and working her way into consumer lending and account management. She recently transitioned to a Mortgage Load Originator role. She enjoys helping members of the Credit Union earn and save money to achieve their short and long-term goals. She is a native of Barrow County and thoroughly enjoys working with the Athens Community.
