50th Annual Marigold 10K to Kick Off 2025 Winterville Marigold Festival, Randall Bramblett Headlines

The Winterville Marigold Festival will be held Saturday May 10, 2025 in Pittard Park. The family friendly event starts at 7:30 am with the 50th Annual Marigold 10K, hosted by Athens Road Runners.

Festival goers can grab a bite to eat from one of our many food vendors and check out the main stage for an incredible lineup of music that begins at noon. Everyone's favorite rock star for kids, Sir Crazy Pants, will kick things off and the Randall Bramblett Band will cap the day off with American roots music at its best. Also, be sure to catch Mayor Dodd Ferrelle’s band, Me’an Mills. Mayor Dodd will also be signing his new book with coauthors Tom Ward and Bowen Craig 2-3 pm in the gazebo.

The Marigold Express II train will lead the parade through town at 10am. Kids will enjoy a fun-filled area of activities open from 11am - 3pm behind the Front Porch Bookstore. Over 80 arts and crafts, specialty, and non-profit vendors will give attendees the opportunity to shop for local, unique, handmade gifts. A showcase of cars, including classic, antique, street rods, hot rods, and rat rods, will cruise in from 11am - 3pm. Demonstrations from Canopy Studios, Athens Skatepark Project, and several artists will take place throughout the day.

The Marigold Festival Board is excited to showcase the talents of Featured Artist Miranda Bellah, an Athens based Surface Design Illustrator. Her print in pattern can be seen in her artwork for Kohl’s Celebrate Together brand and in her personal screen printing work that focuses on nature and the repurposing of materials. She can be found selling her work at local seasonal markets and teaching occasional watercolor classes at the Winterville Cultural Center.
