Classic City Entertainment Group Announces First Annual Blues Festival
Get ready for the biggest Southern Soul concert to hit Athens! Classic City Entertainment Group (CCEG) is bringing the first annual Classic City Blues Fest to The Classic Center Theatre on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
The Blues Fest lineup will include West Love, Tucker, Sir Charles, and many more. A portion of proceeds will also be utilized for CCEG’s community efforts and scholarship foundation.
“We want to bring to the city of Athens, our home, our city, something that’s most meaningful to us - family and Southern Soul music – by bringing in some of the best entertainment in Southern Soul,” states Tammie Wingfield, co-founder of CCEG.
CCEG is a non-profit entertainment agency whose focus is primarily on bringing the most exciting concerts, outdoor events, and unforgettable experiences to Athens, GA, and surrounding areas. Founded by Tammie & Reggie Wingfield, Chelsea & Chandler Glover, and Kenyatta “Tion” Mattox, CCEG has established itself as Athens Premier Southern Soul Entertainment organization. You may have seen them recently at the VFW hosting “Steppaz Sunday” with ExclusiveQ having fun doing every line dance imaginable!
CCEG is a family organization whose primary objective is to serve the Classic City with the best Southern Soul events. CCEG is dedicated to giving back and helping those in need, not just in Athens but in other areas as well. For Thanksgiving, CCEG gave away over 100 turkeys to families in Athens. Following Hurricane Helene, CCEG spent a day in Augusta, GA, passing out food, water, and essential items to those impacted and displaced by the storm.
