Athens, GA – 5/7/2025 – The Board of Directors of Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School is proud to announce a significant new chapter in the life of our school: beginning in the 2025–2026 academic year, we will be known as Donovan Catholic School, serving students in grades 7 through 12.

This name change reflects our growing mission and the exciting expansion of our campus to include middle school students. In partnership with St. Joseph Catholic Parish School, Donovan will become the new home for their rising 7th and 8th grade students, who will officially join the Donovan community in Fall 2025. This transition allows St. Joseph to expand its early childhood education program while strengthening the continuum of Catholic education in Athens.

“Bringing middle school students into the Donovan family not only reinforces our commitment to faith-based, college-preparatory education, but also allows us to cultivate leadership, character, and academic growth earlier in a student’s journey,” said Director of Advancement, Megan Wentworth.

To support this expansion, Donovan Catholic School is actively enhancing its campus and programs to ensure a seamless and inspiring experience for all students, current and future Rams alike. We invite all who are passionate about Catholic education in Northeast Georgia to be part of this exciting moment in our school’s history.

For those interested in supporting our mission as we grow to meet the needs of our community, or to learn more about this expansion, please contact Megan Wentworth, Director of Advancement, at mwentworth@donovancatholicschool.org or call (706) 433-0223.

Together, we are building a stronger future, one student at a time.
