Boswell Oil Announces New CEO & President

Boswell Oil Company proudly announces the appointment of Robert Boswell, IV as its new CEO and President, effective February 7th, 2025.
Robert joined Boswell Oil in March of 2014 as a Sales Specialist with great success. In 2018 he was promoted to Vice President of Operations, a position in which he demonstrated a deep understanding of our business as well as an innovative approach to leadership. Prior to his arrival at Boswell Oil, Robert attended Mercer University in Macon, GA. He is a husband and father of two.
As VP of Operations, Robert has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive results, foster innovation, and build strong relationships with our team members, customer base, and suppliers.
During 2018 the company launched a growth initiative taking it from two bulk plants in Northeast Georgia to five facilities making Boswell Oil the single largest Chevron distributor of lubricants in the state. Robert’s intimate involvement in the company’s growth, including his implementation of new processes that have significantly improved our operational efficiency, makes him the ideal candidate to lead Boswell Oil into its next phase of growth. With the company celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2027, Robert is the fourth generation to take the helm of our industry leading organization.
As we embark on this next chapter, we are confident Robert’s leadership will bring great things to our organization. We ask for your support in welcoming him to this new role and in continuing to work together to achieve our company’s goals.
After 40 years of leadership, Bob Boswell, III has exited his positions of CEO and President but remains active and Chairman of the Board. Please congratulate Bob for the outstanding achievement of both preparing Robert for this transition and successfully navigating all the challenges that lead to tremendous growth. Although he is stepping out of the “arena”, we are grateful for his continued involvement as Chairman of the Board. His wealth of knowledge and experience in this industry will make him an invaluable advisor following this transition.
