Winterville Cultural Center Gallery’s Grand Opening

Come to Winterville and explore the newest addition to the local art scene. In 2016, the city of Winterville opened the first floor of the Cultural Center which was renovated from a dilapidated old schoolhouse. The first-floor space currently hosts community groups, classes, and events held by members of the public. The long-term goal was to convert the second floor into gallery spaces. The dream is now reality - on Saturday June 15, the Cultural Center will host a grand opening from 3p-7p. Upstairs, visitors will find three beautiful gallery spaces full of natural light, original hardwood floors, and beautiful art. Gallery One and upper hallway feature art around the theme of New Beginnings, celebrating the resurrection of this historical space.

Downstairs will have art around the theme of Pen, Pencil, Paper, and Ink.

The grand opening also includes live string music, refreshments, and opportunities to engage with artists and fellow art enthusiasts. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and explore the stunning gallery space.

"Our mission is to promote and support art and artists through exhibitions. We provide a place for artists to share their work and for art lovers and buyers to see and buy art in a traditional gallery setting," said Judy Hammond, Winterville Cultural Center Gallery Director
